You know the spots. The forest road your shop crew camps on every fall. The hot spring two hours out that every new owner should see once. The trailhead where your rigs always end up in the same photo. Until now there was no way to hand that list to the people driving your builds.
Brand targets fix that. You post a place in the Grover portal, your owners see it on their map and in your Circle, they add it to their bucket list, and when they get there and drop a pin with a photo, it counts toward your target. You see every completion.
What a Target Is
A target is a place with a name, a description, a cover photo, and an optional start and end date. Use the window for a rally weekend or a seasonal spot. Leave it off for somewhere that is always worth the drive.
Only members of your own company's Circles see your targets. A target is not an ad and it does not show up for strangers. It is a nudge from you to the people who already ride with you.
The loop. You say "go here." An owner says "I'm going" by adding it to their bucket list. Then they say "I went" by dropping a pin with their own photo. Three steps, and every one of them is the owner's choice.
What Your Owners See
When a target goes live, your Circle members get a notification and a post in your Circle's feed, under its own Targets filter. On the map, the target shows up with your logo in a violet ring, so it reads as yours at a glance.
One tap adds it to their bucket list. While your target is live, their copy follows your edits, so if you move the meeting spot, everyone who adopted it gets the new location.
When they get there and drop a pin from a photo taken within about 500 meters of your target, Grover offers to count it toward your target. Their pin then carries a small "Completed your brand's target" credit. If they share that pin to the wider Grover Circle, your name travels with it.
The credit belongs to the owner. They can hide it, and the completion still counts for you.
What You See in the Portal
Targets has its own page in the portal, right after Pin Packages. Each target shows its cover, its window, a Live, Scheduled, Ended, or Retired badge, and two numbers: how many owners adopted it and how many completed it.
Open a target and you get the completions gallery: the photo, the pin's name, who completed it, when, and how far from your spot the photo was taken. That gallery tends to be the part partners keep coming back to. Those photos are your owners using your builds in exactly the places you hoped they would.
You can also drop live targets into a pin package beside your Circle's pins, so a "fall shakedown loop" can mix places your owners have been with places you want them to go.
When a target is done, retire it. It disappears for everyone, and each owner who adopted it keeps a plain copy on their bucket list so they can still go.
Who can do it: owners and admins create, edit, and retire targets. Viewers see everything, counts and gallery included. The full breakdown is in Who Can Do What in the Grover Portal. Owners and admins using the Claude connector can list, create, update, and retire targets from Claude too. Add the cover photo in the portal.
Honest Notes
No rewards, on purpose. Grover never attaches money or prizes to a target. If you want to run a giveaway around one, that is between you and your owners.
Distance is evidence, not proof. You see how far from your spot each photo was taken. We show you that number and leave the judgment to you.
Photo use is still per pin. Seeing a completion photo in your gallery does not give you the right to use it in marketing. That permission is asked per pin, the same way it is for your Circle book.
Owners need a current app. Targets show up in the latest Grover release on iPhone and Android. Anyone on an older version sees them once they update.
Where to Start
Pick one place you already send every new owner. Post it as a target this week with a good cover photo, and see who shows up.
