Campflare Availability Is Live: See What's Open Before You Roll Up

Last week we told you a live availability calendar was on its way for Campflare campgrounds. This week, it's here.

Open any Campflare campground on the Grover map and you'll now see real, day-by-day availability, not just a status badge telling you a place is generally open. It's the difference between "this campground exists" and "this campground has room for you next Tuesday."

"You shouldn't have to drive two hours to find out a campground is full. Now you'll know before you leave the driveway."

A Calendar, Right in the Detail Card

Grover app availability calendar for Aspen Point campground at Lake of the Woods, Oregon, showing days marked available in green, walk-in in orange, and full in red

Green means available, orange means walk-in only, red means full. All at a glance, weeks out.

Tap into any Campflare campground's detail card and you'll find an interactive availability calendar sitting alongside the amenities, photos, and cell service bars you already rely on. Scroll through upcoming dates and see which ones are open and which are already reserved, all without leaving the app or opening a second tab.

Real dates, not guesses. The calendar pulls directly from Campflare, so what you see on the map is what's actually available, updated as reservations come and go.

This pairs naturally with everything else the Campflare layer already does. Found a spot with a wide open week ahead? Add it to your bucket list or drop it straight into your Circle so your crew knows it's worth grabbing.

What's Next: Getting You to the Right Place to Book

Most Campflare campgrounds are run by a state park system, a national forest, or another public agency, not a single company we can just plug into for checkout. So instead of pretending Grover can book your site directly, we're doing the honest version: surfacing the actual reservation links for each campground, whether that's Recreation.gov, a state park reservation portal, or the managing agency's own site.

We're sorting through exactly how that shows up in the app right now, since Campflare hands us more than one useful link per campground in a lot of cases (the reservation page itself, sure, but also things like road conditions and agency info pages worth having handy). Look for it soon.

Until then, you've already got everything you need to plan with confidence: real dates, real availability, right on the map.

Trip planning gets a lot less stressful when you're not guessing. Pair the availability calendar with a solid trip plan and you'll spend a lot less time wondering where you'll sleep, and a lot more time actually driving there.

Don't have this yet? Make sure automatic updates are turned on in the App Store or Google Play so Grover updates itself the moment new features ship — no need to check back and update manually.
