Your Owners Can Talk About Your Spots Now

You post a rally weekend in your Circle. Owners save it, RSVP and show up. But the questions that come before ("is the road in OK for a 4x2?", "anyone bringing a grill?") have always gone to your inbox, or nowhere at all.

Now they go right under the post, where other owners can answer them. This is the biggest change to Grover Circles since they opened, and it comes with moderation tools in the portal so you stay in charge of the room. Two more updates round it out: the app now wears your brand color, and your website assistant can plan a full trip if you want it to.

Comments and Hearts in Your Circle

Comments and hearts work on everything people post in your Circle: your targets and events, and the pins and trips your owners share with each other. Owners reply to each other, @mention a friend, and get notified when someone answers them. A thread follows its post everywhere, so the comments on your event are the same whether an owner opens it from your Circle or from the map.

What this means for you: the owners who've done the trip answer the owners who haven't. Your event page becomes the place people figure out carpools and road conditions, under your name.

Three honest notes. Comments are text and links only, with no photos and no editing (an owner deletes and reposts instead). Campgrounds and other map places don't get comments, only things people post. And comments appear in the latest version of the app, so owners who haven't updated won't see them yet.

Moderating Comments from the Portal

Open one of your circles in the portal and go to its comments. You'll see the recent conversation across everything in that circle, newest first, along with what each comment was posted on.

  • Hide a comment that doesn't belong. It disappears for everyone in that circle.
  • Unhide it from the Hidden here list if you change your mind.
  • Hide in all company circles in one step, when the same comment shows up across several of your circles.

Hiding isn't deleting. It takes the comment out of your circle without touching it anywhere else, and the person who wrote it sees that it was hidden. Everyone on your team except viewers can moderate. Your Grovenors (the people who lead your circles) can hide and unhide from their phone too. Owners can also report a comment or block a person themselves.

The App Wears Your Brand Color

Your owners already see your logo on your targets. With the latest app, Grover itself looks like yours. If your Circle is an owner's home circle, or they joined Grover through your invite, the app swaps Grover's teal for your color throughout.

Set it on your company page in the portal, under Primary Color. Grover adjusts the shade where it has to, darker for text and lighter where it needs to stand out, so everything stays readable in light and dark mode. The warm neutral backgrounds stay the same for every brand, so your color is the one that pops.

Trip Planning on Your Website Assistant

Somebody shopping your builds at 11pm asks your website assistant where they could take a rig like that for a long weekend. Before, the assistant stuck to your products and your manuals. Turn on Trip Planning for that assistant in the portal and it helps plan the whole trip: where to go, what the weather will do, and what's around when they get there.

Your call. It stays off unless you turn it on. Visitors on your website never see anyone's pins, circles or account details. They only get the trip they asked for.

Also Worth Knowing

  • Owners can mute one brand's target alerts without muting everything. The owners who keep yours on are the ones who want them, so fewer, better targets go further.
  • The target form in the portal is fixed. It no longer errors on save, and its preview matches what owners see in the app.
  • Your website chat has a fresh look for every visitor, with no setup on your end.
